Less than a week after ending the football season with a win in the Music City Bowl, the University of Louisville football staff has added 13 new members to the roster.

Cardinal Authority has confirmed that 13 of the U of L signees moved in on Sunday and will begin classes tomorrow.

Louisville signed 25 players during the early signing period and the expectation was around 14 of those players would be early enrollees. The Cardinals also two signees from the Class of 2019 that were ineligible last season but were also announced on signing day to be part of the program again.

U of L coach Scott Satterfield said after beating Mississippi State 38-28 in the bowl game that getting players on-campus early was huge.

"We start school back, which it's crazy we start back next week," Satterfield said. "I wish I could give the guys off a week, but I really can't. They've got to be back there next week. But we're going to probably have over 20 newcomers that are going to be a part of our team starting next week. And then as you look as recruiting 2021 down the road, that's what it does for programs. Wins like this, seasons like this, it just propels you and gains you momentum."

Cartersville, Ga., quarterback Tee Webb was among the new players to arrive on campus Sunday, along with Southfield, Mich., wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick and Northwest Mississippi Community College wide receiver Braden Smith.

Laurens, S.C., tight end Duane Martin, Jacksonville, Fla., offensive linemen Kobe Baynes and Timothy Lawson and Dallas, Ga., kicker Brock Travelstead also arrived. Travelstead made two first-half field goals in the All-American game on Saturday in San Antonio.

Five defensive players also arrived: Delray Beach, Fla., lineman Henry Bryant, Ocoee, Fla., safety Lovie Jenkins, Jonesboro, Ga., linebacker Kam Wilson, IMG Academy linebacker Zay Peterson and Gray, Ga., lineman JaDarien Boykin and safety Jamel Starks - both 2019 signees.

Georgia Military College linebacker Marvin Dallas and Charlotte, N.C., defensive back Marqui Lowery are expected in the next couple of days, while GMC defensive lineman Yaya Diaby is expected to be on campus for the second half of the semester - which begins in late February.

The players who are enrolled in classes will begin workouts with the football program and will be able to participate in spring football beginning next month.
