UC Berkeley’s police department sent the following message to the campus community on Thursday morning:
A power outage has occurred at the UC Berkeley Campus.
UCPD and Facilities Services are responding.
The following buildings are affected by the power outage as of 8:30 a.m.:
- Barrows Hall
- California Hall
- Doe Library
- Durant Hall
- Hertz Hall
- Morrison Library
- Sproul Hall
- Wheeler Hall
The power outage has affected network infrastructure. There is currently no network or Wi-Fi service, and limited or no phone service in multiple campus buildings. Note that some locations which have power DO NOT have phone, network, card key access or Wi-Fi service. For the latest information, please visit IS&T’s system status page.
Please delay your arrival to campus, if possible, and work with your manager regarding alternative work arrangements.
This is an evolving situation and UCPD will provide updates as more information becomes available.
